DoctorOnCall Launches Covid-19 Self-Testing Programme
KUALA LUMPUR, August 19 — DoctorOnCall, Malaysia’s first and largest digital health platform today announced the launch of the DoctorOnCall Covid-19 CARE Assist Programme for all purchasers of the Rapid Antigen (RTK-Ag) self-test kits.
This benefit is available from August 15, 2021 onwards. The self-test kits can be obtained from DoctorOnCall’s website via online pharmacy services.
Members of the public are now able to conduct self screenings in order to find out the status of their Covid-19 infection immediately via the RTK-Ag self-test kits.
With the programme, each purchase of RTK-Ag self-test kit from the DoctorOnCall platform or its future partner outlets will come with the DoctorOnCall CARE Assist card.
The DoctorOnCall platform currently carries Gmate, Salixium, ALLTEST and NewGene Rapid Antigen (RTK-Ag) self-test kits.
The DoctorOnCall Covid-19 CARE Assist card will allow purchasers to report their test results for personal tracking and will soon be linked with MySejahtera for reporting and test tracing.
The Covid-19 CARE Assist programme also comes with a Corporate Programme, whereby the employees are able to report their self-testing to their respective employers for better tracking and monitoring.
Please email [email protected] to know more about this programme. The Corporate Programme is also available for Caring Corporate Customers in partnership with DoctorOnCall.
“The most difficult part about Covid-19 testing is when the result turns out to be positive. Majority of people will panic and will not know what to do next. We have designed Covid-19 CARE Assist to provide support for our customers should they test positive,” said Hazwan Najib, DoctorOnCall chief marketing officer and co-founder.
“Our Covid-19 Hotline team (03-84082000) will be able to help you take your immediate next steps, connecting you to our doctors between 8am until 12pm, seven days a week, including public holidays. This is included as part of the Covid-19 CARE Assist programme,” he added. “We are also giving discounts for those who tested positive, should they require RT-PCR testing and Covid-19 home monitoring kits.”
Even if you have tested negative, you will have access to other benefits as a CARE Assist cardmember. This membership is provided at no additional cost to customers who have purchased valid Covid-19 Rapid-Ag self-test kits from the DoctorOnCall Platform or its partner channels.
Hazwan also explained that the team is working to further enrich the Covid-19 CARE Assist programme with other benefits such as complimentary insurance coverage and partner outlet benefits, which will be announced very soon.
With a handful of approved available brands in the market, it boils down to individual preferences, as there is no significant difference between the various test kits and their accuracy levels.
As the tests carry an approximate 91 per cent accuracy rate, you are able to make informed decisions and any preparations pertaining to your condition quickly.
Via the DoctorOnCall telehealth facility, you will also be able to book Covid-19 PCR tests either by reserving a slot at the nearest clinic, hospital, or drive-through facility, or by booking a home test administered by a specialised team.
